The Lone Star Chapter of National Charity League, Inc. has more than 250 mother-daughter members. These mothers and daughters spend time serving several different philanthropies throughout Rockwall County. The Lone Star Chapter was chartered in 1983, more than 25 years ago, and has grown immensely as the community continues to grow.  The Chapter is part of National Charity League, Inc..

Some of the philanthropies we partner with are the Boys and Girls Club of Rockwall, Helping Hands of Rockwall County, Academic Booster Club, Rockwall Community Playhouse, Summer Ridge Assisted Living, Special Olympics and Presbyterian Hospital of Rockwall. You will also see us around town participating in the Old Town Rockwall activities.

Along with serving philanthropies, we provide opportunities for mothers and daughters to develop leadership skills as well as enjoy cultural experiences.  We have a six-year NCL Experience Plan to guide our daughters in developing life skills, i.e., establishing goals, learning etiquette for many circumstances, and promoting care and consideration of the community.  During all of the activities, we encourage and our members to take on leadership roles and enjoy giving back to the community and to each other.

One of our biggest events is for Breast Cancer Awareness. This is our 4th annual Breast Cancer Event. We have partnered with Presbyterian Hospital of Rockwall and Helping Hands to teach awareness to our mother-daughter members and to raise money for mammograms for women who cannot afford one in Rockwall County.  Funds raised will be donated to Rockwall County’s Helping Hands, who will identify the women in need of a mammogram. Presbyterian Hospital of Rockwall has partnered with both organizations to offer reduced-cost mammograms.
